“Ferrari”, the opening track on Thalia Rosaura’s debut EP, gives the singer-songwriter a chance to show what she’s got under the hood as a performer. Her soaring vocal performance is sure to send shivers down your spine, set against maximalist electro-pop rooted in breakcore and drum and bass.
As for the title, Thalia explains: “Ferrari isn’t about that luxury car, but about a resilient woman who has no idea yet of everything she’s about to accomplish in life.”
Ferrari is also a story about Thalia’s own family and the women who gave her life and immigrated from Colombia to Canada. “It’s my way of empowering them,” she adds.
