Member Services and Initiatives
Québec Affairs prioritizes strong and close relationships with Québec members through localized communication, learning opportunities, regular touchpoints, targeted newsletters, and active listening. —We are dedicated to building lasting trust and ensuring that Québec’s cultural, linguistic, and economic interests are represented to SOCAN leadership and partners and fully considered in organizational decisions.
Through its commitment to French-language integration, new communications practices, and cultural engagement, the Québec Affairs Division is influencing SOCAN’s digital transformation and communication strategy across the company to better serve and connect with members in Québec.
Montréal Office
Québec members receive dedicated and integrated service directly from SOCAN’s Montréal office. The team includes account executives and repertoire and distribution specialists, and ensures personalized support, prompt request handling, and effective coordination with other SOCAN departments.
Members also benefit from craft development support, events like the MTL @ l’image summit and songwriting camps as well as educational services tailored to their needs. Key opportunities for feedback are also provided through creator and publisher member roundtables consultations, surveys, focus groups, and individual meetings to inform concrete actions.
Advocacy
We play an active role in Québec’s political and institutional ecosystem. We participate in think tanks, collaborate with music and cultural ecosystem key players, and contribute to economic profiles of the music sector. We serve as a strategic liaison between SOCAN and Québec government bodies to advocate for members’ interests.
