BAYLA recevra une bourse de 20\u2009000\u00a0$, du temps d\u2019enregistrement au Metalworks Studios, des rencontres avec des dirigeants de l\u2019industrie de la musique et le design graphique de la couverture de son album.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin: 0 15px 5px 0;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UD86Qug3qLs\" width=\"550\" height=\"310\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>BAYLA a re\u00e7u un diagnostic de dysfonction des cordes vocales et ses m\u00e9decins lui ont dit qu\u2019elle ne pourrait jamais chanter. Malgr\u00e9 cela, son premier simple intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u2009Turn It Around\u2009\u00bb s\u2019est inscrit au Top\u00a040 des radios canadiennes et a atteint la 24e\u00a0position sur le palmar\u00e8s <em>Billboard<\/em>. Elle a depuis assur\u00e9 les premi\u00e8res parties d\u2019artistes populaires comme Simple Plan, Lights et Bif Naked. Forte de son acceptation d\u2019elle-m\u00eame et de son d\u00e9sir de vivre la vie \u00e0 fond, elle explique\u00a0: \u00ab\u2009j\u2019esp\u00e8re que ma musique et mon parcours en tant qu\u2019auteure-compositrice-interpr\u00e8te rappelleront aux auditeurs qu\u2019ils peuvent accomplir tout ce qu\u2019ils veulent, surtout si on leur a dit qu\u2019ils ne le pouvaient pas.\u2009\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La gagnante du deuxi\u00e8me prix (accompagn\u00e9 d\u2019une bourse de 6000\u00a0$) est Shylo Sharity et les trois autres finalistes (qui recevront une bourse de 4000\u00a0$ chacun) sont Clay and Friends, Dave Sampson et The Sun Harmonic.<\/p>\n<p>Les gagnants se sont r\u00e9unis au Great Hall de Toronto le 7\u00a0novembre dernier afin de participer \u00e0 des sessions de mentorat en plus d\u2019offrir des prestations durant le RBC Emerging Musician Showcase, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement gratuit ouvert au public.
